YORKSHIRE’S premier laser cutting and metal fabrication company has won over another new customer with its impressive service and product quality.

GE Mitchell Electrical came across Yorkshire Laser and Fabrication (YLF) when frustrated by late delivery, poor quality and lackluster communication provided by its existing supplier it turned to the internet for help.

The Brighouse based electrical engineering specialist which designs and manufactures custom made control panels for a range of industries including textiles, rubber and food, wanted a new supplier to make the bespoke metal enclosures that house their control units and wiring.

“We did an internet search and Matt at YLF not only provided a good price but came out to visit us and showed the most interest by talking through our processes and making suggestions as to how we could improve what we offer our customers,” explained Matt Taylor, Director of GE Mitchell Electrical.

That was in September last year and since then Normanton based YLF has produced numerous bespoke enclosures for GE Mitchell Electrical.

Matt explained: “They helped us originally with a new customer. I did the initial design and sent it through to YLF to recreate on their CAD / CAM system. The 3D PDF proof they provide is ideal as I can rotate it and make sure it is exactly how I want the finished item to look from all angles. They then fabricate it supplying us on time with a quality product.”

Demand for GE Mitchell Electrical’s bespoke panels can fluctuate but the company has hit a busy period and YLF has risen to the occasion.

“We have put quite a lot of orders YLF’s way recently. Not only have they been able to handle them but they have repeatedly met their guaranteed delivery which is a big thing for us,” applauded Matt.

“On the odd occasion that something has been delayed they’ve told us about it upfront which has meant we in turn can keep our customer informed. Communication is key and they do this very well.”

Matt added: “YLF’s main objective is their quality and giving you a good product. Everything they have done I have been impressed with and I have already recommended them to others.”

Matt Orford, MD of YLF, said the company was delighted to receive GE Mitchell Electrical’s seal of approval.

“We pride ourselves on working with our customers to deliver what they want, when they want it and at a cost they are expecting. Quality and customer service are paramount and by delivering on these we build sound partnerships with customers that last,” he commented.
