In the Market for Laser Cutting? 3 Things You Need to Know
For sheet metal fabrication with a pre-cut edge to it, Yorkshire Laser can assist you no matter how small or large your problem may be. We utilise the latest in laser cutting technology to provide bespoke solutions for our customers.
For laser cutting, businesses in many industries have consistently turned to us to assist them every step of the way. From an initial, informal consultation, to a design phase supplemented by CAD and CAM technology; all the way through to the finished product.
Here are 3 examples of the type of projects that we are readily involved in, offering an insight in to how laser cutting may be able to help you.
1. Our Teeny Tiny Laser Cutting Projects
With 17 years of experience in laser cutting, businesses are well served by the extensive knowledge that we are able to provide.
Some of the smaller projects that we are involved in with homeowners are individual, sheet metal fabrication solutions. You may require a single sheet of metal to be cut into a particular, or even peculiar, type of shape – serving the purpose of anything from pipe-covering or structural reinforcement centred upon a single location.
Smaller projects that we have embarked upon for local business are the design and production of small fixtures for bars and restaurants. We have also happily undertaken very small projects with hobbyists involved in projects such as miniature aircraft design and radio-controlled helicopters.
2. Our Mid-Sized Laser Cutting Projects
Slightly larger laser cutting projects that we have experience in are the design and production of shop signs and interior décor.
An attractive and original sign located at the front of a business can really help to increase the footfall of a commercial enterprise and this is one of the more requested jobs that we regularly undertake. Moreover, the precision with which we are able to design and cut signs means that businesses are able to replicate the design font of their promotional literature so as to match their signs.
Laser cutting technology has enabled such a comprehensive style of branding due to the manner in which it can replicate the intricacies of smaller, hand-stencilled fonts on a larger, steel-cut scale.
3. Our Larger Laser Cutting Projects
We have not only invested heavily over the years in machinery that allows us to take on the aforementioned intricate and bespoke projects, we also have amassed several machines that offer sheet metal fabrication on a much larger scale.
For laser cutting, architects and large-scale construction companies also turn to us. We have invested in the rather space-age sounding Bystronic Bystar 4.4-Kilowatt Resonator, enabling us to quickly process large pieces of sheet metal up to 4 metres by 2 metres in size.
These larger pieces of sheet metal involve high-speed laser cutting on an industrial scale and offer a superior finish in either mild steel, stainless steel, galvanised steel or Zintec steel.
